Teachers

All full-time staff have a minimum 4-year degree in child development/education, and they are employees of Shawnee State University. Because of the high degree of professional autonomy and great working conditions, full time openings are rare. Information about full time positions here or for any other positions at Shawnee State University will be posted under Human Resources on the SSU website at www.shawnee.edu.

Teaching Assistants

Teaching assistants must be full-time SSU students carrying a minimum of 12 hours. Applicants for teaching assistants (TAs) should be early childhood education or OT/PT majors with priority given to those who have completed Education 115 and who have demonstrated commitment to the SSU and CLC mission, vision, and goals. The CLC and university will interview applicants based on university employment practices. Prior to formal employment, volunteering and job shadowing is encouraged.
