When we took our son out to eat, we parked under a street lamp with a sign hanging on it. He looked through the front window at the sign and said "Mom, the first word in that sign is NO." I looked back at him, looked at the sign, and sure enough, the sign said "No Overnight Parking". When I asked him how he know what the word said, he explained that the word had the letter N and O, which spells NO. He said that he is learning to read at school! I am very impressed with his progress since he's been a student at the CLC. We both work with him at home, but I was so pleased to know that he is learning, socially and educationally, at preschool. This is why I am such an advocate of the CLC!

I cannot begin to express my appreciation for the CLC. I praise the entire staff of this wonderful place! It was so gratifying when my children became age-eligible for preschool services, but as an SSU student, how wonderful it would be if there were an infant-toddler program so while I am taking classes, we could all be at the same place. I hope the University will consider this type of expansion sometime in the near future. -America M.
Our son recently graduated Shawnee Children’s Learning Center and was able to directly enter first grade (skipping kindergarten) due to the diligent efforts of the staff, especially Ms. Teresa, who constantly challenged him academically – all within a fun learning environment. --Raj & Reshma K.

Miss Teresa is an AMAZING instructor with a true gift for relating to children and communication with them. Any parent leaving their child in someone else’s care for the first time probably has a harder time than their child does. Dropping my little guy off @ the CLC every morning is JOY!!!
