In our toddler program you will see teachers that are respectful, caring and energetic. The children will sing, dance, run, play, talk, tumble and climb. Teachers respond to children consistently and build on emerging skills and interests. Teachers are sociable and interested in supporting children build relationships with other children and adults. Teachers plan intentional activities including centers, circle time, outdoor learning experiences, and sensory-motor play to develop the whole child. Children are invited to participate, never forced. Children begin with limited means of expression and leave the toddler classroom with a variety of communication skills. Families are encouraged to provide an extra set of clothes, small blanket and pillow, comfort item, family photo, diapers and wipes.
