Tashana Brown comes to us as an alumni from Shawnee State University; earning both her Associates and Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. Her enthusiasm and dedication for teaching plays a central role in engaging students, holding their attention, gaining interest, and developing students' positive attitudes toward learning at an early age.
Her educational philosophy is that early literacy sets the foundation for all successes in a child’s life. Her passion is to guide children through a nurturing attitude, while being respectful and sensitive to diversity, teaching developmentally appropriate lessons, and meeting the needs of each student. She firmly believes that each child is special and unique in their own individual way.
Tashana’s experience in education and working with families include former administrative director, school age teacher at a summer institute, student teacher at the Children’s Learning Center, and a year-long internship/student teaching at a local Scioto County school as a Second grade teacher. Tashana is also a mommy to four amazing children! In her free time, she enjoys playing with her children, writing, hiking, camping, swimming, sewing, scrapbooking, and crafting.
