Our Curriculum

The center strives to be a model of Developmentally Appropriate Practices. Guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children are followed. At the CLC we believe that children learn primarily through active play while exploring and interacting with their environments. That belief is based on sound research by leading theorists such as Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, Maria Montessori, Erik Erikson, and the acclaimed early childhood movement from Reggio Emilia, Italy.

Infants

6 weeks - 12 months

You will see teachers that are loving and responsive. Expanding upon children's play to help them learn new skills.

Toddlers

1 - 2 years

Activities include centers, circle time, outdoor learning experiences, and sensory-motor play.

Preschool

3 - 4 years

Teachers focus on skills for learning including paying attention, following directions, and controlling impulses.

School Age

5 - 12 years

Our school age learners maintain and enhance academic skills while engaging in hands-on activities.
